Will some expert clarify if the raag is Kedar or Kaamod? Seems like the
latter to me, where the flat and tivra 'ma' come in succession..

Dilip S. Coulagi on Friday, May 08, 2009
Or is it 'raag Kamod?

Dilip S. Coulagi on Friday, May 08, 2009
Anything that shows misery and proverty in India is bound to become a
beautiful artistic movie and earn lots of prizes!

Subir Biswas on Friday, May 08, 2009
No...it is not raag Kamod. Kamod is little bit different from Kedar. The
best example of raag Kamod is "Jane Kaise Sapnon Mein Kho Gayi" from the
film Anuradha sung by Lataji.

Tamal De on Friday, May 08, 2009
This has to be kedar.. Can't be Kamod!

Tamal De on Friday, May 08, 2009
I acyually meant Kalyan Thaat. Kedar is part of the Kalyan Thaat. Musically
yours!

yoyoyo1418 on Monday, May 18, 2009
beautiful wow

yoyoyo1418 on Monday, May 18, 2009
"The literal translation means 'Lord (Nath) Krishna (Ghanshyam)- I pray to
you to allow me to visualise (see=darshan) you not just through my eyes but
through igniting my soul (man-mandir ki jyot jagado)... This was just the
first stanza- hope that was helpful. The bhajan opens beautiful memories
for me " thank you googleruben!

dr ashish mahobia on Tuesday, May 19, 2009
thanks ... for the pains u took to add picture and upload. its a good
service to others.

googleruben on Sunday, May 31, 2009
You are welcome Yoyoyo The simplicity of the lyrics and music has sadly
been lost in today's cinemas and music coming out of Bombay.

Raheem Khan on Sunday, June 21, 2009

narayana3483 on Saturday, August 08, 2009
Why not? This song is singing about the same God that you pray to. Let us
not differentiate between different religions. Shanti

Greenpeniwrite on Saturday, September 05, 2009
I'm learning this song right now...its really beautiful. I disagree = i
think its nicer when someone with a good voice sings it :P

Greenpeniwrite on Saturday, September 05, 2009
both the tivra and shuda ma are used in this. - its Kedar

Dilip S. Coulagi on Sunday, September 06, 2009
Kamod also uses both tivra and shuddha ma s. So does Hameer. All three are
very similar, the difference being in the sequence of swaras and the
emphasis on different swaras in ascent and descent.. That's why I thought
an expert should opine on it. One day I'll get an accomplished singer like
Dhanashree Pandit-Rai to give her opinion.

Greenpeniwrite on Monday, September 07, 2009
well its based on that kalyan, if that helps you.

Akhilesh Magal on Thursday, September 10, 2009
Sounds like Raag Kedar.

1jaisrikrishna on Sunday, September 13, 2009
i think it will be nicest if anyone sings it by heart only for shyam sundar

afpak2009 on Thursday, September 17, 2009
This is the best song. i listen to it almost everyday.. Akhiya pyasi rhe

memo on Sunday, October 11, 2009
oh actually you misread the lyrics. it says he can NOT find gods in temples
even though there are statues present there.

darainbowrose on Friday, October 23, 2009
Thanks to "Slumdog Millionaire" , I discovered this wonderful song, I'm not understanding a thing in fact , it was better done by Arvind , the blind in the movie , let's sing Darshen do Ganshyam :)))))

giriisindahouse on Friday, October 23, 2009

mywords4u on Friday, January 22, 2010
I m very touched by the lines:
"yug beete na aayi milen ki puranwasi re"
As if the soul is saying to supreme " I have waitied for you for many thousand years on this earth in separation and in many many lives all time waiting for you but the brightening full moon night our meeting hasn't come" My eyes cry whenever i hear this line.

Sudhi Ranjan Sen on Monday, January 25, 2010
