You are right prince. chof and hali have a tendency of having very high opinion for themselves. They think they are film journalists or critics of some sort. Which they are really not. Don't waste your energy on these two. they are two gone cases.

Halimali on Friday, January 09, 2009
Unlike you, Me and Chof too have no double faces here. We are clear about
what we like or we dislike. Nobody asked u to agree or disagree. This is
our opinion and we did not claim to be critics either. If you felt that we
are critics then this is ur own problem. U should respect others opinions.
People are not alike and if we dont like Madhuri as an actress then u can
do NOTHING about it and yea this has nothing to do with Sridevi. Even if
Sridevi did not exist, Madhuri again wouldnt be my fav

sabbirsa on Sunday, January 11, 2009
as I said. You have a very high opinion about yourself. You are neither a film critic nor a very important person. Madhuri has billions of fanbase in India and worldwide. One loser like you don't like madhuri!!! Man Madhuri's career is over. Get over yourself.

Halimali on Sunday, January 11, 2009
we dont like Madhuri. End of Story. No need to say bad things about others
just bec they do not like someone u like.

hildytnt on Monday, January 12, 2009
Once again. DANCING IS NOT THE ONLY CRITERIA FOR DECLARING AN ACTRESS
NUMBER ONE. Mads is beautiful and a good dancer but she was very limited as
an actress. She could not handle tragic or comic roles very well. A note to
Madhuri's fans - if you like Madhuri it does not mean that you should
insult others actresses. Can't understand your logic about Sridevi when she
is an icon NOT ONLY IN BOLLYWOOD BUT THROUGHOUT INDIA & OVERSEAS! Even the
stars know she is the ultimate actress so why don't you?

Halimali on Monday, January 12, 2009
I didnt mean you are saying bad things about Sridevi but saying bad things
about her fans. i.e. US. Whoever u like or dislike is ur own choice but u
should respect others opinions.

Halimali on Monday, January 12, 2009
hildytnt, all Madhuri fans only do is to compliment her dancing. as if
dancing is everything to them.

hildytnt on Monday, January 12, 2009
Perhaps this is old news but what annoys me is that Mad's fans, in order to
praise her all undermine the mark the other actresses have left in the
industry! I have even been told that they were all very mediocre compared
to her. Imagine that! Sadna, Vijanthimala, Hema Malini, Rekha, Juhi,
Meenakshi, Jaya Prada et al are all GREAT actresses as is Sridevi who left
the biggest impact in India. Everyone aspires to be like her in the
industry and that tells of her astounding success and her status!

chof0319 on Monday, January 12, 2009
hid I gave you a bonus thumbs up for your last post, I agree many look up to sri and try to imitate her, Madhuri to tried it as well, its only the media that hypes madhuri but critics always backed sridevi. Media today is controlled by the writers who are age 20 or 21 who mainly grew up watching madhuri's period. Lets not forget sridevi had overseas acclaim for her acting, has madhuri, or Ms Aiswara Rai had any international acclaims for their acting???

asdasdas456 on Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Well, who's speaking ? If Halim is not a critic as u say, then he's not less than a film critic in my opinion , and more important he's one from public , the public that made Sridevi and he's not an opinionated person .He's provided you with facts with proofs. But most of u , Maduri's Fans, just keep yelling based on emotions ONLY!

RAJSWAMY1980 on Friday, January 16, 2009
I saw both actresses movies. My personal opinion is Sridevi's strongest weapon is acting. Sadma,Nagina,Mr India, Chandni,Lamhe,Chaalbaaz,Laadla,Gumraah etc.Even her last movie Judaai where she acted a greedy housewife was amazing. Her comic timing is unbeatable.Everybody has to agree other than SRI nobody could do justice to SADMA.

RAJSWAMY1980 on Friday, January 16, 2009
If u really want to see sridevi's performance one should watch all her tamil films. She is only actress in Indian Cinema who has acted as an actress from her 11 age till 35.Watch her earlier movies...she is only the actress who has literally changed her appearances. See her in 70's, in 80's & 90's.Today Tamil industry is still waiting whether she would say yes to act again..

sabbirsa on Monday, February 09, 2009
Yes but there a re millions of legendary actresses who did not have "international" acclaim. Example: Nargis (mother India), Smita Patil (Mrigaya, Chakra), Rekha, Meena Kumari, Jaya Bachchan, Hema Malini and so forth. So by your comment I have to assume they are way below sridevi? Yeah sure. Something like this can only be uttered by a retard.

asdasdas456 on Monday, February 09, 2009
True, Rajs, even Shri said that the roles she did in the south were much more challenging than the ones in Hindi .
I think in Bollywood the Chaalbaaz role was one of the most challenging and fascinating she's done ...Really miss her!

chof0319 on Monday, February 09, 2009
Exactly Sabs, only good actress like Nargis, sridevi ect were acclaimed abroad, I know Mother India evenly nearly won the OSCARs, Madhuri doesn't belong to these clibre of great actresses.

chof0319 on Monday, February 09, 2009
Sridevi was also famous for her fashion sense, she desigined the costumes for heer Ranjha, and now she was picked by a leading fashion company to be ambassador.

chof0319 on Tuesday, February 10, 2009
In south sridevi showed she can handle any roles, She has also done variety in Hindi like Sadma, Nagina, Suhagaan, Lamhe, Laadla ect being some examples, and ofcourse matched the calibre of Kamal Hassan.

hildytnt on Thursday, February 12, 2009
Wow Chof, Sridevi And Kamal Hassan? That's powerful stuff there. Those two
are Mega stars! Actually when you think about the level of status Kamal
Hassan and Rajnikant both have, then you realise that it is only Sridevi
who is on par with them. No other actress can compare with those powerful
actors.

both gr8 dancers. Jaya is technically better with her moves being a trained
dancer but Sri pulls if off with her energy and excellent facial
expresssions. Fantastic dance. Overall both gals should be applauded for
this dance. Beyond words

Halimali on Saturday, March 07, 2009
I totally agree with u. Both have their own nice style and they could do
this great dance together

tony frank De' S on Saturday, March 07, 2009
sri goes down as one the most precious gem stones of Indian cinema. Jaya in
her own way and own aura also carved a niche for herself. Both are
beautiful women.

asdasdas456 on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
They have such venom that they can spend their time just to spam and giving thumbs downs to others !

asdasdas456 on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Well said , errol, and I am not sure u've been given thumbs downs ...Sridevi got even sweeter with time from Himmatwala to Chaaaaz and Lamhe !

asdasdas456 on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
not only Tamil , Bollywood is missing Sridevi too !

Raul Pan on Saturday, March 21, 2009
This is NOT an easy dance.. Very dificult steps .. well done both of them

seemam9 on Saturday, March 21, 2009
Yes very difficult indeed..first of all they are in sarees which restricts
leg movements and also this dance requires a lot of energy...Jaya N Sri
pulled it off twice , once here and once in the telugu original

Unknown090981999 on Saturday, May 09, 2009
I agree with you. Even before I saw your comment, I thought kinda the same,
but I would never be able to word it like you did :) I prefer Sridevi's
dancing also. Not because I like her more than Jaya, I just appreciate her
dance more. Even though both Jaya and Sridevi are doing an excellent job,
both look very amazing.

Unknown090981999 on Saturday, May 09, 2009
Never found Dola Re Dola the best dance by females. Neither liked that song
much, I liked Silsila Ye Chahat Ka from Devdas better :) Anyway, this is a
very powerful and impressionate dance. The song is powerful too. A very
beautiful dance by two very beautiful and beyond talented women, Jaya and
Sridevi.

adityavcet on Thursday, May 28, 2009
Dance requires but then its artist job to show grace. It shud look graceful. Jaya sometimes look she is doing too much! If you have seen Vaijanthi Mala, she does bharatnatyam perfect. She will ensure she doesnot look like she in boxing ring. Yes, Sridevi has room to improve but compared to Jaya she is graceful, Jaya's ex[ressions also not looking good. In short, you should look good and graceful whatever dance form it is.

Raul Pan on Thursday, May 28, 2009
I agree that Vujanthimala was a rockstar and knew the most intricate natyam
steps . well these days even tutors dont know that much of the same.. so
howd anyone get that tactful now ? But i still dont agree wtih sridevi
being better here.. here it looks as if she was making a lot of effort..
she danced brilliantly but its almost like she is worried her steps will go
wrong and its lukin on her face...

adityavcet on Thursday, May 28, 2009
Yes, Sridevi has room for improvement but better than Jaya in this song. No one is perfect , but Jaya ourplayed Sri is not the case.

Halimali on Friday, May 29, 2009
I really love the way both of them keep their pace of dancing together. I
doubt if any 2 heroines of today would be able to pull off such a dacne or
even atleast 20%. They both were amazing actresses and perfect dancers and
both things are lacking in today's generation

Halimali on Friday, May 29, 2009
It is also rumored that after watching this song Harmesh Malhotra wanted
Jaya Prada for Nagina , but when she refused the movie bec she did not like
the snake movie idea he has taken Sridevi who jumped for the idea.

chof0319 on Friday, May 29, 2009
I dont see how jayer did better when they both kept up the pace, sri didn't falter her steps, the movements were spot on and was quick and her expressions was well emoted. Both did well, but i dont agree with some of you saying Jaya doing better.

adityavcet on Friday, May 29, 2009
You came to me to give ur opinion and not me. Its my conviction that Sri is better and it will remain so. I always to "Post Comment" and its not my habit as urs to reply to someone's opinion. I am sure, you are not cognizant of dance art. You can "think" Jaya outplayed Sri and post ur comment, but dont come to me or respond to me arguing my opinion.

nazgul30 on Sunday, May 31, 2009
once again i'll like to make a clear point.. sridevi is not a trained
classical dancer..yes it does look mechanical compare to jaya's graceful...
well jaya is a well trained classical dancer... how can you compare them
both??? sridevi shoud appreciate for dare trial to compete the graceful
jaya..

adityavcet on Sunday, May 31, 2009
You are totally wrong. Ur comment shows u dont have an iota of dance knolwledge. Sri was a far cry from Jaya and Meenakshi. The reason is Jaya and Meenakshi failed "miserably" in western dance, forget about bharatnatyam. Jaya and Meenakshi never had any popular dance numbers which became rage in masses. On the other hand, Sri was able to churn hits on hits like "Hawa Hawai", "Naa jaane Kaha se aayi hai" and many more. Jaya never able to get any dance song that could become a rage, you have any?

Halimali on Friday, June 05, 2009
Guys.. whats going on?? Chill out both the girls are talented as dancers
and actresses too. They are super. They also showed how they both are tough
competitors. Stop the fight.

chof0319 on Friday, June 05, 2009
tell me how same dance, same movements, tell me what was flwes of sri's steps, you seem to think you know a lot about these dancidid jaya outplay sri when they both did the exact steps.

adityavcet on Saturday, June 06, 2009
samaybrahmin.it is truth that Sridevi is better than Jaya, why cant you accept reality. I bore you? You are a biggest loser to reply my opinion!! I never indulge in impressing someone! But i will not allow anyone to negate my opinion by sending me email.

adityavcet on Saturday, June 06, 2009
Hey Hali! samaybrahmin is at fault. He comes here and trying to impress that jaya is better , which is not the case.please explain him, that he keeps his opinion to himself and dont try to reply everyone who have different opinion.

vinkiveronica on Thursday, June 11, 2009
I guess its all a matter of opinion. I personally think that Sri is a better dancer. Jaya is definitely one of the best dancers in the industry. May be a bit closer to the actual dance form of Bharatnatyam. She definitely seems like professionally trained which is not the case with Sri. But Sri has more energy and expressions to make up for it. Infact I was blown away by her dances in movies like Jaag Utha Insaan, Chandni and Chaalbaaz. I dont think jaya could ever have created that magic

adityavcet on Saturday, June 13, 2009
Another drawback of Jaya is her height and structure. If you look at her, her body seems tight from top to bottom. The dance steps donot come out distinctively. As with Sri, she was among the tallest dancers, abt 5.7 ht, the dress, whatever u give her, amrapali dance suit or saree, she comes out stunning, and the dance steps get more suited and attractive. This shows that dancer needs to have a good body structure as well. Sri was fantastic in both traditional and western outfits.

seemam9 on Sunday, June 14, 2009
try and catch a movie called Sur Sangam if u can ...maybe u will alter ur
opinion a bit (few clips are available on youtube itself)

teenbauwa on Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Completely agree with you. For Sridevi's height and perfect curves, her
steps look more distinct.

sabbirsa on Sunday, July 26, 2009
Sridevi's height and perfect curvaceous figure makes her a perfect choice for this song. Her moves are extremely accurate. No flaws. She is definitely better than Jaya here. Jaya at certain points is not accurate. Although the 2 ladies have done a fantastic job. This is simply my opinion and no offense to Jaya fans. Although I must say the majority seems to be saying the same.

chof0319 on Tuesday, August 11, 2009
Yes sridevi has been known to be accomplished dancers, just see Jhaag utha Insaan where she just does classical dance, and you wud be blown away with her movements, energy and emotion. Subash K Jha even called her a dance temple goddess in that film.

chof0319 on Tuesday, August 11, 2009
But i disagree, jaya dances accurately but sri overshaadows her by her height, figure and expressions. But both danced equally.

sabbirsa on Tuesday, August 11, 2009
You have every right to disagree and I do not have to agree with anybody. In my opinion, in this particular dance Sridevi overshadows Jaya by a tad bit. Her movements are extremely accurate. But both have enacted their parts very well indeed.
