A wonderful duet. Both Lata and Talat have done a superb job. Thank you for uploading.

RealMusicKing on Monday, August 23, 2010
Hello. That duet is sung by Asha and Talat and is from film "Shah Behram" 1954 I believe. Words are by Asad Bhopali and music by Hanraj Behl.

@RealMusicKing. Hi thanks for the info about Dil-e-nadaan-jamane-mein.
Do you have this video by any chance?

RealMusicKing on Monday, August 23, 2010
Rumahaleji. Talat also had two duets in the film with Asha "Baharon ki duniya pukare tu aaja" and "Dekh li aye ishq teri mehrbaani dekh li" that were composed by Sardar Malik, Anu Malik's father.

Also, Ghulam Mohammad helped Shankar Jaikishan with their first film Barsaat and gave them his composition "Main zindagi mein hardam rota hi raha hoon". Same composition was in Laila Majnu sung by Shamshad "Ye jaan ye imaan bas Allah ke liya hai". Listen to the both of them. Regards.

RealMusicKing on Monday, August 23, 2010
Your welcome. Sorry I do not. I have it on an LP record "Duets To Remember by Talat Mahmood & Asha Bhosle" that was issued by HMV back in 1984.

@RealMusicKing I know of "Baharon ki duniya pukare tu aaja" and listened
it. Interesting information to find Ghulam Mohammad helping SJ in Barsaat.
Also interesting to find same tunes in Barsaat and Laila Majnu songs
mentioned above. I have since listened to Shamshad Begum rendition. It is
beautiful. Other one from Mohammad Rafi is very popular and to my liking
since ages. Thanks.

After listening to Talat, how could any composer give his songs to any
other singer. Lata is excellent, but could be replaced by Asha or Suman
(who is often mistaken for lata), but if you replace talat then the duet
loses it's greatness and may not be the masterpiece that it is now. The
music composers of talat's era were tone deaf and pretty mediocre. They
gave talat only 900 or so songs to sing between 1944 and 1976. They should
have given him at least ten thousand songs. They robbed the Indi

Never forget to talat and lata, they will alive for ever

Rajesh Kochhar on Friday, March 16, 2012
@Milahi1935 You are right. When a song is composed, the composer prepares
it keeping in mind the primary singer. The secondary singer, Lata in this
case, remains secondary. There are many other songs sung by male as well as
female singers. Both are not, cannot be, equally outstanding . ( Example:
Hemant: Sun ja dastan)

somewhere about the influence of Arabian Music on the senior Music
Directors. I am really interested to know more about it i.e. such of the
MDs and movie songs with influence of Arabian music - this will be precious
information indeed. You may send through personal message leisurely. Thank
