the picturisation did not do justice to this beautiful song,,,mohd rafi and lata mangeshkar sang it so beautifully,,,they should have had the actors singing and acting to it,instead of just dreaming

with tounge in cheek .. i would like to say that Lataji is no match for Rafi Saab ...

vashitwa mishra on Thursday, August 21, 2008
Mishra ji , I agree and no tongue in cheek -) Some body in the comments
talks about wrong picturisation but I think, had the actors tried to lip
sync this song, They would have failed miserably... A perfect duet where
Mohd. Rafi rules.

True...
But you know saying something against Lata ji is sacrilegious :) . hence "tounge in cheek".

the song has a vibrant tune with a naive yet delightful ambiance -one of
rafi-latas best ever-the background score is very ingenious and subtle -i
love bollywood movies from this period-natural acting and a touch of
realism with class-thx rajshri

It is amazing that at the time this movie was made, Anil Dhawan was
considered a more successful actor than Amitabh and look what has happenned
since then.

Amazing song and also the movie. I admire Jaya for the way she married
Amitabh but more importantly, how she raised the Bachchan kids. The true
legacy she will leave behind will be Abhishek and Sweta - so grounded and
top class in their behaviour and dealings.

@rakkmishra rafi is my favorite and i hold him in highest regard. regards
to your comment, it depends on the particular song. female voice is lower
than male's. this song is set for rafi's comfortable scale whereas lata has
to adjust to the male scale of the composition. this was the norm and lata
held up very well. listen to rafi & lata in "kuhu kuhu koyalia" or their
alaaps from "waada karlo sajna tere bina" or "dhil dhadhak raha hai". it
depends on the song. both supreme.

back then we had such a simple life style.we didn't have all these social networking crap...like facebook, nor we had all these modern technology like IPOD's, SMS, Mobile phones.we just knew how to purely love someone, and all we needed was just a photo. Back then a simple photograph was such a big deal you would sleep with it and carry it with you all day in your wallet or parse. Nowadays getting to know someone is so artificial and synthethic. You meet someone and next day they are gone.
