to your comment, it depends on the particular song. female voice is lower
than male's. this song is set for rafi's comfortable scale whereas lata has
to adjust to the male scale of the composition. this was the norm and lata
held up very well. listen to rafi & lata in "kuhu kuhu koyalia" or their
alaaps from "waada karlo sajna tere bina" or "dhil dhadhak raha hai". it
depends on the song. both supreme.

Back then a simple photograph was such a big deal you would sleep with it and carry it with you all day in your wallet or parse. Nowadays getting to know someone is so artificial and synthethic. You meet someone and next day they are gone.
