Basainda? The word is vasainda..as in Vaseh..when something lives
within...cant even pronounce the sufi kalam properly...what a flop

algoseer on Monday, June 20, 2011
this sounds a bit adhoc. not really fusion yet. but you will get there
soon. great attempt though!

Mahipal Reddy on Monday, June 20, 2011
this is not fusion.singing carnatic and sufi one by one...but nice
attempt... know one thing nothing more you are get by bringing star
singers...just try to produce best music... bengali folk singer(bandure
song) is better than many of those star singers... chinna ponnu(and kailash
kher also) is just out of this world...

Pratik Varma on Monday, June 20, 2011
This song rocked! Both singers have a great future.

Can some good people post lyrics and translation?

Chaitanya Tapase on Monday, June 20, 2011
@AzeemaIlyas how do you doze 'laterally' ? Do teach me ;o)

suryayt01 on Monday, June 20, 2011
Tochi Raina has a really rough sore voice

Pratik Varma on Monday, June 20, 2011
The taal changes in this song are really interesting. You can follow the
time signature transitions whenever the drummer hits his snares twice.
Rock/Blues riffs are used here to weave them together. Once the users get a
feel for this, maybe the producer will try Jazz or some or other technique.
This song is a good example of how difficult it is to fuse a simple sufi
style with the clockwork precision Carnatic requires.

simply awesome

@JustAStoner firstly..do you even know where im from? no so dont judge me.
secondly Sufism blossomed in the middle east and Persian countries before
Islam even reached India. The essence of the poetry and the wording dates
back before it even reached your land. What has the Sahara got to do with
this? you do realise thats in Africa or did your ignorance takeover your
geographical skills? oh and why resort to swearing..is that a reflection of
your intelligence, lack of manners n attitude?

JustAStoner on Friday, June 24, 2011
I dont care where u r from. Do u even know that Sufism started in
north-east Africa and middle-east (sahara) as a tariqah of reciting quran
while it turned into a Panthiest movement in India. This poetry is written
by Vinay Kochar and the first mosque in India was built in India during the
life time of Muhamed which dates before there was islam in Persia. Your
lack of knowledge of sufism, islam, India and punjabi commands a much more
resortful reflection of intelligence manners n attitude.. gtfo

What a contrast of raw sufi music in a man's voice and refined carnatic
music in a woman's voice!

blackwalnut on Friday, June 24, 2011
@JustAStoner CS Pak owns CS India ..Admit it..Swearing wouldnt change a
thing..You should stick to ur sheila ki jawani and munni badnam hui for all
I care and stop calling Paki singers for CS India ... You should call
Rohail Hyatt over to do one episode of CS India and get you started..

Beautiful combination between Punjabi and Carnatic music. It couldn't get
better than this!

Mallikarjun Reddy on Friday, July 08, 2011
Just super

Gul Zaman on Sunday, July 17, 2011
copycat coke studio with no music, i been going thru every song but all i

charlene dsouza on Tuesday, August 30, 2011
@tdraghava think she concentrated on her makeup more !

pandyatirth on Tuesday, January 29, 2013
Mathangi drives this song. Toch's certain notes sound weird. There's very
little part given to Mathangi, I've skipped Tochi's part everytime I've
heard this song. This is the best example of creating a confusion in trying
to create 'fusion' music.

Inder Badesha on Sunday, March 09, 2014
Sufi andaaz by tochi rana .Great singer.I enjoy.Tx

pandyatirth on Monday, October 20, 2014
Mahabesura!!! Plz let Mathangi sing the whole track. Tochi screwed it to
the core.
