The great tragedy is that the cardiac condition she died of, became curable by surgery only a few years after her demise.

@Trouthis dilip kumar couldn't show his talent ?????? what r u talking
about. According to film guru's he acted so well that even the real salim
whould have been like this...look at his dialogue delivery in this
movie..

Vinod Bhatia on Monday, December 26, 2011
This is incomplete song. This has only one paragraph. In the movie, when I
first saw the movie, it had two paragraphs Lyrics of the whole song are
excellent Thanks to Shakeel Badayuni. But it would not be appropriate, not
to mention,. that Naushad Sahib has done most beautiful job in composing
this song. It is remarkable beyond words. The whole set, right from the
start of the song, is extravagant and one keeps on looking in amazement.

007tubeuk on Thursday, January 05, 2012
is this blueray version?

007tubeuk on Thursday, January 05, 2012
the whole concept is unsupported by expert. Salim never had any
relationship with anarkali. its fiction.

786swe on Wednesday, January 11, 2012
@007tubeuk A good point. The Moguls would have no problem to accommodate
the relationship if it had happened as described, i.e. intesce mutual love.

ShemarooEnt, Could you please post some of Madhubala's other songs.

Cosmic Carrot on Friday, July 20, 2012
probably the best song of the entire movie

Jaseeka Rawr on Saturday, August 11, 2012
Can someone please explain what's going on in this scene? I don't speak
Hindi but am going to get this movie with subtitles very soon.. though it
could never be soon enough! I don't care if it "spoils" the movie, I have
to know. And nothing could spoil this movie for me. Nothing. That word &
this movie have nothing in common. Most gorgeous movie I've ever witnessed.
I'm on a mission to see it. I know I will cry so much.

Jaseeka Rawr on Sunday, August 12, 2012
In other or more simpler terms.. is he sick or dead?

Jaseeka Rawr on Friday, August 17, 2012
No need.. I've now seen the movie. I would have never guessed what was
really going on in this scene! Fantastic movie. They did an amazing job
creating it. The actors, music, directors & everyone else who made this
movie possible all did a great service to the movie industry & those of us
who enjoy art. Anywho.. This scene made me sob.. heartbreaking. These two
actors really brought it for this movie presenting such real emotion you're
unable to ignore. Thankful I found it. God Bless, everyone.

I just thought, what a resemblance! Whom else do you see wearing black
these days?

Abdul Qudus on Saturday, October 06, 2012
Beauties & talents will come & go, we should consider ourselves very lucky
that this art is preserved for generations to come. Almost every one who
contributed towards this movie did the best they could & they are gone(Lata
I wish you live forever). I have questioned that myself as an spectator,
whose movie this one was? No disrespect to any one, it is Madhubala's
movie, she gave her life to become immortal. You know you have to die
young, so you can always rule the kingdom of hearts.

I had a faint memory of this song. I was writing my English paper in the
afternoon session and suddenly i heard this song and i literally could not
write the answer until the song was completed. An excellent song
beautifully pictured. This happened in the year 1971 after that i do not
know how many times I listened this song. I was fortunate to listen Naushad
speech when he was awarded Dada Sahib Phadeke award at Delhi presented by
Sanjiv Reddy in presence of Arif Mahmad and Vasant Sathe

M A mehdi on Saturday, December 01, 2012
I guess,K Asif has done nice and great job in selection of
Cast,Singers,Musician and others. They could only have judged the Work in my
view. Even,I heared how painstaking it was,for Naushad Sahab to convince
Bade Ghulam ali Khan sahab to be a part of this movie to lend his
voice.Every person of this movie is the Legend and which,i assert, have made
the movie Historical Epitome in Indian Cinema.

What an emotional song of Lata ji and Madhubala ji..

SHAMSHAD PARVEEN SHEIKH AZIZ on Saturday, December 15, 2012
madhubala ko khuda ne bht khubsurat banakar bhejatha bht kuch khas tha unme
isiliye is khubsurti ka karz toh unhe ada karna hi tha ye karz unhe bht
taklif aur mohabbat me tanhaee aur dil ke dard ko saihkar ada karna padha

softclay4thought on Sunday, December 16, 2012
An emotional scene of sorowful impact that adds to the exquisite music and
cinematography in this film. A technical error, however, because the
previous scene has her upper lip a light pink and her lower lip a strong
red. This scene has both of her lips a light pink.

vish2254 on Friday, December 28, 2012
classic of classic

Pooja Raithatha on Tuesday, January 22, 2013
1:17 - 1:26 ...you can see the raw emotion! It was so real and painful. Her
throat clenches with sadness -that's how you know she's crying REAL
tears...! The lyrics to this song are just heartbreaking.
