for the info of the channel admin... the folk used in the song is not
bengali, rather its Goalporiya, a folk language of Assam.

Chakri Vinjamoori on Saturday, August 24, 2013
Ram Sampath just murders all the good songs with rock sounds and sona,
aditi and hard kaur. disappointing.

deepak pokra on Saturday, August 24, 2013

Oindrila Chakraborty on Saturday, August 24, 2013
must say ram sampath understood da bangla/goalporiya lyrics of da original
n beautifully transmitted da essence into the english words..about a girl n
wat she is capable of,with her body(whn she dances) n her mind..fusion of
the two did enhance the feel.loved it.

Paul Taylor on Saturday, August 24, 2013
aditi sharma's portion was unnecessary.in my opinion at least.could
have easily been replaced by another saxophone solo...can never have
enough of saxophone

Ranjit Savant on Saturday, August 24, 2013
The "Saxophone" .. superb!

Mridul baruah on Saturday, August 24, 2013
Hi Aditi, could you please suggest the admin to furnish with proper
information. The folk song isn't Bengali, but Goalporiya ..one of the
dialects of Assamese. The original song was sung by late Padmashree Pratima
Pandey Baruah. en.wikipedia org/wiki/Pratima_Barua_Pandey

Indrabhan Dutta Majumdar on Sunday, August 25, 2013
great music arrangements ! super like !! english part is unnecessary though.

Kuntal Goswami on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Aditi Singh's lyrics by Mr. Sampath was not good and was also not
amalgamating smoothly with the main verses. #epicfall ..according to me.

Sourav Kar on Sunday, August 25, 2013

Subhodh Subramanian on Sunday, August 25, 2013

Tanbin Islam Siyam on Sunday, August 25, 2013
They ruined the whole song.

ayonchak1 on Sunday, August 25, 2013
It's a bengali song..

Aseem Deshpande on Sunday, August 25, 2013
You don't get the concept of Coke Studio. If you want purity, go hear
classical. Hard might not be the best out there but she did add a very
diff. flavor to that song.

Amit Sharma on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Best part is after . . @5.01

Chirag Mangukia on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Awesome song. After listening to this song, literally became a fan of
Bengali folk songs.

Ramnath Sundararaman on Sunday, August 25, 2013
rocking song and arrangements! ram sampath...way to go.

Ariq Anam Khan on Sunday, August 25, 2013
This is actually a folk song in Sylhet/Sunamganj area here in Bangladesh.
The tune is a common folk tune of that area. But you are right in one way,
because Sylhet is right beside Assam.

Md. Rajaul Islam on Sunday, August 25, 2013
I think you are wrong..cz, I am from Bangladesh and I know very well where
this song belongs in. Actually this is a Bangladeshi song. Certainly this
genre known as "Polli Giti". Even though the link you have given of Pratima
Pandey Baruah, she is from Calcutta as well, what means she is also a
Bengali and she sang this song so many years later, when the song already
up to its summit. Sundori means Beauty in Bangla and "Komola" stands for
the all Bengali Beautiful girls through a certain name :)

Ariq Anam Khan on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Can you ask someone to edit the gaps in the Bangla lyrics above? it should
be Bhalo koira baajaogo dotara shundori kamala naache Shundori Kamala
choronay nupur rinijhini koira baajere Bhalo koira baajaogo dotara shundori
Kamala naache -2 Shundori Kamala poronay shaariya roiday jholomol koray
Shundori Kamala naakay nolok tolomolo koira dolayre... Bhalo koira baajaogo
dotara shundori Kamala naache -2

Ariq Anam Khan on Sunday, August 25, 2013
We have some awesome stuff here in Bangladesh. The folk culture here is
very very rich. All it needs is a bit of exposure

Nabhan Zaman on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Bangla. Such a sweet language !!!

xzecutor on Sunday, August 25, 2013
english ta na dhukailei valo hoito ..

kamonasish aayush Mazumdar on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Academically speaking, its north bengali according to Historians George
Abraham Grierson and Suniti Kumar Chatterji (Source: Linguistic survey of
India). The (dialect-not language) has more in common with Bengali thant
with Assamese.

TheExplorer78 on Sunday, August 25, 2013
English lyrics: amateurish! Rendition of sundori kamola: totally misses the
'baul' touch. Disappointed!

chandradip rana on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Listen to the crosswindz version of Sundari Komola.

samajder4u on Sunday, August 25, 2013
Mridul..I kind of agree with you...however, not completely...Goalporiya is
indeed a different dialects...but its not absolutely Assamese either...it
has mix of north Bengali language from Coachbehar and Dinajpur as well...

ayonchak1 on Sunday, August 25, 2013
I m Bengali..& It's a Bengali song...

sazedul hossain on Monday, August 26, 2013
just awsm .

shaji babu on Monday, August 26, 2013
gud song i like

Kunal Borah on Monday, August 26, 2013
Hi, it was a great mix by Mr. Sampath. Aditi you sang really well. But
there is a mistake made by naming Komola Sundori as bangla folk song. It is
a GOALPORIYA LOKGEET, a form of folk song that belongs to lower part of
Assam. Padmashree Pratima Padey Baruah Popularised these folk songs. you
can get ample information about this in Net. e.g: en.wikipedia
org/wiki/Pratima_Barua_Pandey
