The song is one of the best songs ever. In all respects : Lyrics,
Composition and Singing.

Diliplal on Monday, December 24, 2007
The song is full of pathos, the feel and the emotions that encompasses the
rendition by Talat is beyond compare. Beyond doubt the most soulful singers
of our times. No other singer of his time came close to him in soulful
renditions and were pedestrian in comparison. Given the quality of singers
of his time, he was without doubt the finest amongst the great singers of
his times. Thanks for postng this song tht brings a lump in your throat.

evrgreen song sung by late legend taalt mehmood. so malodious voice.
fantastic lyrica and excellent music. combination of all these things make
one to listen this song everyday. that was the quality of voice of Talat
sahib. we miss you very much but love you from our hearts.

Amin Aziz on Saturday, March 22, 2008
I agree with you. This voice is divine.

tapobrataha on Saturday, April 12, 2008
The quality of Talat Mehmood's voice can perhaps be compared with only that
of Mohd. Rafi and Manna Dey; smooth, silken and haunting.Talat Mehmood will
be forever remembered.

ankydoodle on Sunday, May 04, 2008
soulful... hurts tht this era ain't comin anytime now...

princeshahvar on Friday, August 08, 2008
if thats talat mehmood's picture i must say he was one handsome man for
those times...he could become an actor ...he is good looking~

Zarin Khan on Saturday, August 09, 2008
Such divine voice..takes you to another world...I feel goosebumping...

Mobyshetty on Thursday, August 14, 2008
Talat acted in 13 films but he realised that singing was his forte. He was
more good looking/handsome than this picture in real life. Breathtaking to
look at. Cannot forget him.

Mobyshetty on Saturday, September 20, 2008
I never understand why we praise and miss them when they are no longer with
us and not when they are alive. Talat is/was simply divine to listen to.
Love him and miss him terribly. RIP. Moby UK

TALAT MAHMOOD HAD THIS SOUL STIRRING INCREDIBLY TOUCHING VOICE! AM TOUCHED
TO THE CORE BY THE SWEETNESS AND EMOTIVE GENUINENESS IN HIS VOICE! :)IT'S
AWESOME! MR K D KAPOOR SAYS THAT HE *PERSONALLY* KNEW TALATJI, I FEEL
FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO TELL MR KAPOOR HOW MUCH RESPECT HIS FRIEND TALATJI
HAS AND *WILL ALWAYS HAVE* IN THE HEARTS OF MUSIC LOVERS WHO *CHERISH* HIS
VOICE AND *KNOW* THAT IT COULD ONLY COME FROM A *GEM* OF A HUMAN BEING!
WITH DUE RESPECT TO YOU TOO, MR.KAPOOR!:) Ritu - California

I don't think so...Rafi is incomparable. Even if you forcibly compare him
with Talat also he will always be infinite times ahead of him because his
voice is full of all possible qualities a human being can think of. In Rafi
sahab's voice Talat's qualities are already included and besides that he
has infinite number of other great qualities which are inexpressible and
can only be felt by a great music listener.

I just wanna share sumthng that.when TALAT MAHMOOD was only 16yrs old
taht had sung successfully the compositions of USTAAD MIRZA GHALIB, USTAAD
BADE GHULAM ALI KHAN, PANDIT BHIMSEN JHOSI and other legends with ease in
ALL INDIA RADIO in 1942 to 1943...Only a genious of that calibre and
potentiality can dare to do such thng..He is no doubt a "SULTAN OF
GAZAL".I am a modern boy of 17yrs but I dont fear to say that I
dont hear " MUSIC " nowadays..

123talat on Saturday, February 20, 2010
I absolutely agree with you and I witnessed in all of his live concerts in
Ahmedabad sitting in the front row. In all the concerts, had he fulilled
his fans demand, he would have not finished the program that night. I bet
for that.

chaitanya sardeshpande on Wednesday, April 14, 2010
One of the classic by Talat , i love this song..

Subramanian A on Saturday, April 24, 2010
I like Talat very much. He was my father's favourite singer. His songs
bring in nostalgic feelings. He has contributed much to Hindi film world
with his melodious voice and he marks an era - an unforgetable era indeed.
May his soul rest in peace forever. This song is one of his best songs-----
