Oye video editor! atleast see if the tabla sounds what you are actually
showing !! Disappointed. totally. Awesome singing though. too loud
music. Noisy around 6:00

Ashish Toor on Friday, July 15, 2011

qwertyp1234 on Friday, July 15, 2011
No wonder the Pandavas won if Arjuna had sung like this!

JustAStoner on Friday, July 15, 2011
@ashtricks are you kidding me, it sounds BRILLIANT at 6:00.. get good
speakers and watch in HD..

JustAStoner on Friday, July 15, 2011
WOW!! Ustaad Rashid Khan's starting alaap in charukeshi is SO SO HEAVY!!!
Pandit Bhimsen Joshi had said once that Ustaad Rashid Khan will one day be
the best. Ustaad Rashid Khan was ruining his life for quite some time lost
in alcohol. Thank you god for getting Ustaad back on the stage.

ashtricks on Friday, July 15, 2011
@JustAStoner I use Bose. When I say noisy, i mean the music is
overshadowing the vocals. does not sound good for this kind of music...

Rajeev Sontakey on Saturday, July 16, 2011
Excellent !!!!!!

Arun S on Monday, July 18, 2011
@5:45 - Ustaad ji's aalaap gives me goosebumps. Wow!

Pathik Desai on Monday, July 18, 2011
Now that's more like Coke Studio (India)! They should definitely have lady
Bombay Jayshree and Ustad Rashid khan more often on the show! PS...4:55 to
6:06...ahh! It was like being born again, and hearing Sounds for the first
time...=) Cheers...and keep 'em coming!

Rupam Khunger on Monday, July 18, 2011
Best performance . . . . Soul touching composition

Pratik Varma on Monday, July 18, 2011
This song is on a different level altogether and has set the bar very high
for the rest of the performances. The band did a great job supporting these
greats.

Mahishasrk priye nityam Kaushiki peeta vaasini/ Attahaase koka-mukhe
namaste’stu rana-priye//5// O you who are always fond of buffalo's blood,
born of Kusika's clan, dressed in yellow robes, having assuming the face of
a wolf you devoured the Asuras! I bow to you who are fond of battle!

BTW, the begning "Katyayani..." is in gandhar... which is varjit in Raga
Durga.

Rashidbhai , bahot khub. i am expecting more fusions like POHANKAR'S... &
classical maestro's from coke.

Sam Abraham on Tuesday, July 19, 2011
i do think tht lesle lewis uses the insrtuments a lil too loud and it hurts
the mood of the song...Rohail Hyatt is much better thn lewis..

dannykaye85 on Tuesday, July 19, 2011
please add subtitles so that this can be more popular

Riddho Chaudhuri on Friday, July 22, 2011
lewis should have reduced the guitars during the bandish es..it was
overshadowing the veena and tabla...

ThePratsi on Wednesday, July 27, 2011
This particular Coke Studio mix gave me goosebumps...The maestros! thts

what a combination Bombay jashree and Ustad Rashid Khan its so divine and
superb..

Kumar Iyer on Sunday, November 27, 2011
Mohana and Charukeshi - what a wonderful, crafty juxtaposition! In the end,
you could witness the evolution of Raga Vasanthi. By the way, the sloka is
not sung in Raga Durga - it is Mohana or Bhoop

Bharti Sharma on Tuesday, January 24, 2012
m going crazy.music is music..!!! music is life..music is divine..!..jai

shivaram krishnan on Saturday, March 10, 2012
6.06 was indeed divine... starting at the right moment in the right pitch
without really doing it .. or attempting it.. BJ has it in her!!

Great artistes singing for a bottle of Coke, and big money to bad music !
Lousy.

Abhijit Banerjee on Thursday, January 03, 2013
I agree with you; I sing north Indian classical - it is raga Bhupali - sung
by Bombay Jayashree; Ustadji is singing Charukeshi

Shravan Reddy on Monday, January 14, 2013

Baishali Kanjilal on Tuesday, December 24, 2013
beautiful

Baishali Kanjilal on Tuesday, December 24, 2013
I tHink the Kaatyayani bandish is Bhoopali , Gandhar (Ga) is quite
pronounced, and she does not seem to be touching Madhyam (Ma), which is why
it gets so difficult for her in the end, the tune almost seems to bend at
cross roads with Ustaad Ji's Charukeshi: its very confusing and very
beautiful indeed!
