Mohd Rafi is Great !!

Nisha Sachdeva on Saturday, August 23, 2008
Yes, Rafi is the superior singer !

Vishal Sharma on Friday, September 05, 2008
Mohd Rafi provides the contrast with an effeminate voice to the rich manly
voice of Kishore

dontbsmartuasshole on Monday, November 17, 2008
no offense but kishore's voice has got stronger feelings

dontbsmartuasshole on Saturday, December 06, 2008
every low level singer can b like rafi. but nobody can b like kishoreda.
rafi had only 1 style of singing n he wasnt a versatile singer too. u cant
compare rafi sahb with kishore. cause thr is no comparison. singing isnt
just abt saying words its about how u perform it.

dontbsmartuasshole on Saturday, December 06, 2008
listen to this song very carefully n u will see when rafi sings he sounds
like he's very very average person i mean it sounds like thr is no value of
this person,in other words he sounds like a FAQEER. now listen to kishoreda
he sounds like very representable n sensable person who actually
underestands wot he is saying in this song.

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
singing is not abt crying like a FAQEER. get this through ur head. listen
to the song,'' tum bin jaoun kahan'' sung by kishore n then compare it with
the 1 sung by rafi. rafi seemed to b making fun of the song. he ruined the
whole song.

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
awaaz bandoun wali honi chahiye maskeenoun wali nahin lollzzzz

Rafisaabsfan on Sunday, December 07, 2008
your name says it all ...lolzzzzzz

awaaz ki badshah kal bhi aur aaj bhi Rafisaab and thats why nearly 30 years after his death , he was awarded singer of the millenium
kishore ko kya milaaa??????

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
hahaha r u kidding me???? goto wikipedia n put''Filmfare Best Male Playback
Award'' in search bar n see it urself. kishorda got 8 awards n rafi got 6.
dont make up ur own fake story.

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
n y u r criticizing on my id?? v r here to talk abt singers not personal
things.

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
bearing in mind that kishoreda never learnt from any teacher he had no
classical training too. in classical way rafi sahb must b better than him
but when it comes to comoparing voice quality, feeling, diction, scale then
kishoreda was no doubt beyond comparison.

Rafisaabsfan on Sunday, December 07, 2008
if u bother to look and find out from wiki, youll see all the award info including govt awards like the padmashree given to RAfi saab
It also says abt the millenium award

look i know, aswell as all proffessionals from the film industry know about the value of Rafisaab, i dnt need to prove anythng but u ARE SOOO DEFENSIVE, IT SEEMS UR CONVINCING URSELF ABT KSHORE RATHER THAN ME...LOLZZZZZ

Rafisaabsfan on Sunday, December 07, 2008
lolzzzz, oh at last u got wht i said!!!!!!
lolzzzzzzzzzzzz

n im not criticising, im saying it suits you!!!! lolzzzzzzz

Rafisaabsfan on Sunday, December 07, 2008
well after listening to kishore and his shouting, ooops i mean singing , it wud've been better if he had invested some time and money in singing lessons!!!!!lolzzz

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
RD Burman was so genius musician. he got kishoreda to sing his songs y he
did'nt get rafi??? because he knew rafi has only 1 style of singing which
can b boring. ''roop tera mastana'' was sung by rafi first but soon RD
burman heard kishore's version he selcted kishore's because he knew ''
raf's voice isnt good for a man'' bhekarion pe zayada suite kerti hai

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
i can show u thousands of people being like rafi. can u show me any1 like
kishoreda??

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
i used b a big fan of rafi likd u but when since i started listening to
kishoreda then i said to myslf , wait a min, this man knows about music
very well he knows every single bit of music. without any music lesson
kishore was better than rafi wot a shame. now imagine if kishore spent sum
time n money on lessons then wot he would b like?? 10000000 times better
than rafi???

stdio on Sunday, December 07, 2008
Oh c'mon wots wrong with you two?if you dont like any singer then dont
leave any harsh comment which hurts others

dontbsmartuasshole on Sunday, December 07, 2008
every1 who sees my first comment u will find me saying that'' kishore has
got stronger feeling in this song'' now wot was a reply from''Rafisaabfan''
''kishore's voice hurts my ears , its so coarse!'' now u can all imagine
that this person has no respect of a legend. this person is being so
jealous with the gr8 eva Kishorda n this person also called kishore kumar
''pagal kuta'' YOU CANT B RAFI'S FAN BEING AGGRESSIVE N WEIRD. u better
delete ur vids now! or i will get my friends to flag them.

saira5868 on Monday, December 08, 2008
Well each to their own i say and no need for arguing and vulgar language
but IMO Rafi is much much better and i think the majority will agree with
me. if you dnt agree the thats fine too.

BRITISHALQAIDA on Wednesday, December 10, 2008
i disagree! rafi's voice n singing is very avg. anybody can have these abilities. dont ever compare The gr8 kishore the legend with any of these low level singers.

BRITISHALQAIDA on Friday, December 12, 2008
rafi is not even close to abhijeet. listen,''tere mere sapne'' sung by abhijeet i m sure u wont like rafi's 1 then.

Rafisaabsfan on Friday, December 12, 2008
i dnt listen to trash like abhijeet, i mean hes not even a singer, he just barks!! lolzz!

man from philly on Wednesday, December 31, 2008
this is not the song i'd cite to suggest rafi was better than kishore.
rafi's voice was not as consistent after 1973 as it was in the 60s. His
voice was at its awesome best in 1961-1965 according to my liking. Both are
great singers who each have his unique niche.

saira5868 on Friday, January 02, 2009
each to their own!! btw i totally disagree with your views and so do many
millions who voted him singer of the millenium some 30 years after his
death!!

man from philly on Sunday, January 04, 2009
oh no - i also consider rafi the greatest. i have been a big fan since age
5 when listening to "salamat rahe dostana". but the key phrase here is "i"
and "imo". people have different tastes. if someone just intrinsically
prefers kishore's voice & style - no amount of arguing will convince them
that rafi is better. it's taste. rafi is good in this song but there are
hundreds of songs where rafi just throws the standards into the sky with
his magnificence. my favorite rafi & kk duet is in dostana

man from philly on Sunday, January 04, 2009
rafi set the standard very very high imo. his voice was good in 1978 but it
was even better in 1960-1965. It was even velvetier, crisper, more robust,
fuller, clearer. but rafi's voice was just one asset. even in the 80s when
his failing health made his voice inconsistent, he still had that magic of
singing from the heart and making the heart of listeners melt. his
versatility was one thing but the man had incredible bandwidth. he could
express so many emotions seamlessly in a single line.

man from philly on Sunday, January 04, 2009
toward the last minute of barbaad e mohabbat, rafi sings "jo tujhse hui ho
woh katta saath liye jaii". i've listened to that line 100 times within
past week. never get bored of it. makes my heart melt everytime. so much
emotions in a single line emoted so naturally! there's tender love,
yearning, hope, sadness, and dignified resolve in that single line. very
inspiring and touching. sheer magic and a gift of god that mohammed rafi
was blessed with to do these things.

aslam123m on Thursday, January 29, 2009
if someone here said that rafi saab was average then they DO NOT know about
the music or about the singing cause he was the best playback ever and no
one will be like him everrrr everrrr everrrr everrrr

Ajnabhi21 on Thursday, April 30, 2009
Rafi Saab is the best :-) he excelled all genres...Happy, Romantic, sad, mood lifting songs, qawali, bhajans and ghazals. I dont think any other singer has done this and will ever do so. Rafi Saab is beyond any other singer...or singers to come. No amount of arguing will alter this fact!!!! LOVE U RAFI SAAB :-)

jaideep mukherjee on Friday, May 29, 2009
sorry its a well known fact raffi saab had no ability for voice modulation
, he is good for classical, or sad KK ji had a million times better voice
than him KK has better voice control than any one i have seen so far

phirmilenge on Sunday, June 21, 2009
Rafi saab dominated all song types with widest range... and even varied the
range in the same song. Rafi voice from 1950-70's low quality recording
sounds better than todays advanced technology recordings. In so-called
"lean period" it was not Rafi saab's voice that was "lean" but change in
types of songs produced. In every decade sweet voice of Rafi saab improved
and in 70's while number of songs given to Rafi saab was "lean" quality of
his voice was better than ever before.

Mishal Ali Bhutta on Thursday, July 02, 2009
yeah u r rite but these hopeless people wont understand. note that they are
first ones to start the comparison. Its cause they dont actually feel they
are rite. When others say they are rite. They feel wat they think is rite.

MrGabbarDaku on Thursday, July 02, 2009
I am sorry but I did not mean to disgrace KK. In fact I love many KK songs especially the older ones from 60's. However, I also feel if we are comparing voices, then at least for me I love most Kumar Sanu songs and feel in many he sings as well or better than original mainly because I like the richness in Kumar Sanu's voice. I also feel that Kumar Sanu did not get all the recognition he should have got. But KK is no doubt also a great legend.

phirmilenge on Sunday, July 05, 2009
You are right Daku ji. Rafi saab is the best ever. The absurd comments some
have made about Rafi saab not having range or voice modulation and only
being good at classical or sad songs is so ridiculous its only showing
their ignorance. They must also believe the Earth is Flat...

phirmilenge on Monday, July 06, 2009
So the hunderds of hit romantic/fast songs picturized on shammi kapoor,
shashi kapoor, jeetendra, dharmendra dev anand etc were only classical and
sad songs... your "well know fact" must only be "well known" to you...

abidjc on Sunday, August 16, 2009
one hundred kishore kumars cant beat one rafi.i am sorry to say .. kishore kumar was good but rafi sahab is best singer.

tknandi on Friday, August 21, 2009
both r great singers, but rafi saab is the greatest ever.while one is doing simple maths of class 2/3 level rafi saab is d master teaching calculus or beyond.even lata^sclose parallel r found in shreya or alkaji but no one comes close to the master.
t k nandi.

Ajnabhi21 on Monday, August 24, 2009
I agree :-) Rafi Sahab is the BESTTTTT

Ajnabhi21 on Monday, August 24, 2009
Rafi Sahab all the way.the greatest singer to come on this earth leaving behind a treasure of amazing divine songs.Even one line sung by Rafi Sahab is enough to knock any other singer into their place, KK was great but Rafi Sahab was, is and always will be the BESTTTTTTTTT! :-) thats a know fact!

desilyrics on Tuesday, September 08, 2009

desilyrics on Tuesday, September 08, 2009

phirmilenge on Thursday, September 10, 2009
100% correct and very well expressed ... I love you too and you are not
ajnabhi for me anymore :)

Ajnabhi21 on Thursday, September 10, 2009
Hey ekdesiandy :-) thanks. Love u too, ur so sweet!

shakilm01 on Thursday, September 10, 2009
BTW rafi has more songs in the top 10 songs of ALL TIME than any other singer (inc Lata) .. this list was voted by old/current film makers, composers, singers, musicians etc .. the number one track is by Rafi (Man Re Tu Kahe Na) .. .. having said that, i also beleive that KK was no ordinary singer .. any singer that could take Rafi's mantle (temporarily in the 70's) had to have some substance .. that is all for now .. peace to all (ok, to most of you)
