G.S.KOHLI WAS asst music director for great o.p.nayyar saab. i.e. ASHAJI IN FULL SWING. GREAT, i GREW UP IN THOSE 60S.

macmu881 on Saturday, October 08, 2011
G.S.Kohli is my favourite music director, whenever I listen to his songs,
it takes me back into my childhood days. I am now 61 and listening this
classic song Agar main puchoon jawaab dogey since I was 12. Even today,
when I listen his soul-stirring music it touches my heart, soul and I feel
instantaneous spiritual pleasure.

i am arabian 50 years old all my life i have been listining to indian old songs, my best singer is mohammad rafee , i do understandthe song because the base of urdo is arabic, persian, turk, &Sanskrit 3%. by the way the arabs brought the poem to delhi in the 8th century, but with all the respect to urdo (she3r ) or language when comparing it to arabi it sound as if someone wearing his pants inside out , but still for you it sound normal, no hard feeling. but you pronounce it very softly .

Rafi sahab's voice leaves a great intoxicating impact through this
song. without any kind of doubt in my opinion he is the best
singer of India.

Naturam Sweetsay on Friday, January 06, 2012
@12182004Mr You are right but partially. Urdu the language used in film
songs descends from Arabic, Persian and Turkish or rather dialect spoken by
descendants of these countries who used to come to settle in India over
last 1000 years. In 19th century it became a literary language with
flourishing of Court poetry and it is hence considered as language of love
and poetry in Northern India as french in Europe. Before there was Sanskrit
and other Indian languages with very rich poetry.

G.S. Kholi was assistant to OP NayYar and refelects his style.
Unfortunately he did not compose much.

mjdajmi on Monday, February 06, 2012
I wonder what made him change sides? (good to bad...lol) still..old is gold

99farooque on Monday, February 13, 2012
he is not a BAD BOY, Layen is looking handsome. nice song thanks for
uploading.

vaadaenmacchi on Sunday, February 19, 2012
@mjdajmi i think he had a tough time competing with the other 'heroes' of
this time and switched to the bad guy role. he is an awesome actor, either
way

vaadaenmacchi on Sunday, February 19, 2012
@Rajivesahrma777 i didnt know that! the modulations in rafi's voice seemed
very reminiscent of his work with nayyar.

1705vikram on Tuesday, February 28, 2012
SP Balasubramanyam in one of his interviews had said that whenever he hears Rafi sahab sing, tears start rolling down his eyes, wondering how could a human being be so good. Rafi sahab was a perfect playback singer. His voice made a lot of stars and ebhanced the careers of many of them. He was the first and last singer of the calibre of gods. A trillion pranamms Rafi sahab.

Beautiful Song. Excellent expressions of Ragini. Being a great dancer she has shown all her talent in this song. Ajit also . Never expected that he could give such an excellent romantic expressions .

Sandeep Sharma on Saturday, June 23, 2012
I differ with vaadaenmacchi's opinion , Ajit was an average (though good
looking) actor. The fact that he realized that he was not as good as his
contemporaries led him to move to the other (dark) side where he realized
his true potential. An Actor is only as good as his memories...and I
remember Ajit for his roles as a villian...Cheers.

BELIEVE ME EVERY SONG IN THIS F C MEHRA FILM WAS A SUPER SUPER GEM BUT IS
IT NOT SAD THE SUPER TALENTED MUSIC DIRECTOR G S KOHLI THE ERSTWHILE
ASISTANT OF MUSIC DIRECTOR O P NAYYAR WAS NEVER GIVEN HIS DUE INSPITE OF
COMPOSING OTHER HIT SONGS LIKE FROM FILM FAULAD

chandru sadarangani on Monday, July 09, 2012
Extremely melodious. Regardless if movies flopped or succeded at box
office, but Rafi Saheb songs were always melodious n super duper hit.

Anjali Kumar on Thursday, July 19, 2012
Look at Ragini , the way she move to this song... Very talented one of
Padmini sister n she dance better than Padmini, sad she died very young.

Anjali Kumar on Saturday, July 21, 2012
Wonder why Ajit ended up acting as a bad guy...

bhaumik pandya on Friday, August 03, 2012
lataji never sang for o.p.nayyar.if sang how she sound in o.p.nayyar:s
composition. this song is perfect example.because composer of this song was
g.s.kohli who was assistant music director & arranger of nayyarsaab.

raj dalwani on Thursday, October 25, 2012
It is indeed a very beautiful duet of lata and rafi saheb, Music is by
G.S.Kohli. He was not a very famous m.director. But see, what a lovely song

satyanarayana dheram on Thursday, July 25, 2013
what are the other movies of G S Kohli ?

Farhana Syed on Friday, August 16, 2013
Many songs are great. Rafi's speciality is the way he was constructing his
voice according to the words and shayeri. That is the beauty of the singer.
Rafi had that exceptional quality. Even Sri. Balasubraminium of south had
the same. Rafi will changes according to the words and spirit of the song.
I request all of you to listen the song again and feel how Rafi's voice was
moving up and down and verstalie in complimenting the words. Lataji is
equally great.

Farhana Syed on Friday, August 16, 2013
Sorry, Balasubraminium has given a long interview about Rafi's ability to
change his voice according to the words and the poem. At the same time,
Lataji was equally great and beauty of her voice cannot be contested.

NUSRAT HUQ on Tuesday, October 15, 2013
This is such a beautiful song. Lata and Rafi can never be beaten in voice
quality. EVER.

lokesh sharma on Sunday, October 20, 2013

Very very sweet and melodious song by all time great Rafisaab and Lataji !
but I would like to praise Mr. G.S. Kohli, the music director for this
melodious creation !

Jagjit Singh Ishar on Thursday, March 13, 2014
The mesmerizing intoxicating composition by G S Kohli. The elegant
repertoire of this gr8 legend based on few movies speaks of his high
talents but to our dismay he was not given that recognition & place he
actually deserved. His all compositions are worth listening to solace the
soul & mind.

charming1958 on Tuesday, December 23, 2014
I have heard that G S had been assistant to Op saab becos all his songs
have a stamp of O P saab music. May be , since he had been making for and
assisting OP and major work must have done primarily made by assistants
that time . ( assistant were making theka for MDs) Please send ur knowledge
