A very beautiful en meaningful song. I grew up with these songs because my
parents used to play these often, I thank my parents for that. It's much
and much better than most of the songs are written and composed today.

SoundFreak77 on Thursday, April 12, 2012
For SURE, i just watched this movie today for the first time and i could easily say how, as a whole the older hindi films had meaning, depth and moral values far more over then the movies today. Great movie and Great Songs

SoundFreak77 on Thursday, April 12, 2012
the lyrics for this song are by Sahir Ludhianvi and the music is by Ravi, who unfortunately, as mentioned by jothivasu40 passed away just recently. As for the actress who sings this song i dont know sorry. I got that information from IMDb, jus look up Waqt. I suggest you check it out!. Peace.

Sahir Ludhianvi packs whole philosophy of life in that one song. "Aag bhi
Jaane Na thu" "Peeche bhi Jaane Na thu" "Jo bhi hai bas yehi ek pal hai"
"Yehi WAQT hai karle poori aarzoo" Believe me guys life is too short. Make
the best of it.

The woman who sings the song on screen looks SO gorgeous. She looks like an
opera singer. Pity we don't know who she is (or was), though she has acted
in one of the most immortal songs of Bollywood.

amarendrasrivastava on Sunday, May 27, 2012
this song of 'Waqt' philosphies the importance of time which is a universal truth.equally true for older and younger ones alike.one song in every film of B.R.Chopra contained social realities and messages for the society.e.g.,'Aurat ne janam diya mardone ko..' in 'Sadhna'(1958) depicting the degraded social status and helplessness of women in society. The song was in immortal voice of Lata Mangeshker and most ably picturised on Vyjantimala.amarendrasrivastva.

Hello All,

Does any one having an interest in Western Classical music know which famous composer's tune is the basis of this song from Waqt? I think it is sibelius but I am not sure. . Yes it is true this song is not an original. the tune has been plagiarized... or as they used to call it then as well as now ... they were "inspired" ... But I have been hunting for the original ever since I heard it on a 33 rmp vinyl record at my uncle's place 10 years ago...So please help me find this
