Sorry, it's Dooba and not Dhalta...
Asha has sung so many absolutely fantastic songs that it would be an error to single out any one song as her best - if only because I doubt that anyone has actually achieved the feat of hearing all that she has sung!!
By the way, would anyone have another masterpiece by her sung for Madan Mohan (I think its also for Bank Manager) : Dil shaam sé Dooba jaata hei, Raat ayegi toh kya hoga?

I somehow believed that Lata sang all of the great female sentimental solos for Madan Mohan. So, I wasn't even looking for any such Asha/MM songs. Also, I had not heard of the film Bank Manager. I happened to uncover Saba Se through serendipity.
Just as a trivia, Madan Mohan has given music to Bank Manager, Chowkidar, Inspector Eagle, Jailor, Khazanchi, Minister, Pocketmaar, and Sultana Daku... is there a pattern here??
