Dear Khurrambhai, I do not know how to thank you for this invaluable song
that I have been thirsting to listen since 1954 when I heard on the radio
in Tabora, Tanganyika. Brings back flooding to my memory those moments.
Rafi saheb has exhibited the unique range that makes him exceptional in the
history of Indian music.

This is M.R.s favourite song.He once said that while singing a torrent of
tears flowed down his eyes making the reading of verses difficult.I kept
wiping my eyes with one hand and held the paper in the other.So with great
difficulty I could complete the recording.
