The picturisation shows Simi Garewal listening to a Radio. Rafi’s voice is
coming out of the radio and Simi Garewal is listening to this song and
joining in singing ( in Sharda’s voice) towards the end of each of the
three paras. The hero is also visible in the picturisation who is listening
to the same song on a record player. Sans beard and mustache that became
his identification marks later, he is difficult to identify, but it is none

This was the last song of the duo, Shankar Jaikishan recorded in 1971. Right after this song, Jaikishan passed away. What a waste of a song filmed on Kabir Bedi and Simi. And was it necessary to have Sharda's bothersome humming in it?

The most amazing aspect of Mohd. Rafi’s singing was its effortlessness.
This song flows like a breeze off his lips, but try singing it yourself and
you realize that it is not an easy number to render, especially the
stanzas. What a master crooner he was! Sharda accompanied him well.
Gulzar’s lyrics sound pleasing, if he doesn’t go too abstract (‘geeli
hansi’ types.) This is one of his best creations. SJ have produced a
soulful composition that touches the deepest chords of your heart. This gem
is not likely to lose its appeal for centuries!

There are few people who even when they are living, they seem dead as they
have nothing to offer to life. They are just existing. There are some
others who are dead and after a while they are forgotten. And there are a
very few who are dead but they exist in everybody's heart for ever. Its
been 30 years since Rafisaheb left us. I thought that, with time, his death
would become easier for me to cope with. Its the contrary. This man still
lives very solidly in my heart. I miss him more and more.

No specaila comments or video, but of course the words and the deep meaning
of the words,creating nice meaningful lines, and yes rare songs of
sharda,but a voice we can recognise in millions ! This song assures about
somebody who is dear but , unfortunately not near. Just for my one of that
best dear. Whom I miss a lot. Never seen, but feel like just seeing that
dearone everyday. This song is for my lovely one.Thank you so much for the
