Lyrics / Video of Song : Ek Banjaaraa Gaae Jivan Ke Git Sunaae

ek bajaaraa gaae, jivan ke git sunaae
ham sab jine vaalo ko jine ki raah bataae

zamaane vaalo kitaab-e-gam me
khushi kaa koi fasaanaa dhundho
ho o o o aankho me aansu bhi aae
vo aakar muskaae

sabhi ko dekho nahi hotaa hai
nasibaa raushan sitaaro jaisaa
sayaanaa vo hai jo patajhad me bhi
sajaa le gulashan bahaaro jaisaa
ho o o o kaagaz ke phulo ko bhi
jo mahakaa kar dikhalaae

I think only Mohammed Rafi could have done justice to such a composition. It is very difficult to sing live. The other song from this film " aanese uske aaye bahar" is another example of a song carrying on n on on a higher pitch to sing it comfortably , only a singer o f extraordinarily god gifted capacity could do it so nicely mainaining the voice quality and also the keeping voice of the actor enacting on screen in this case jeetendra, is no mean feat. There are many such songs sung by Rafi

Boss even though you are right I think we should ask the Ustads and the Pandits to decide who was better and greatest (Agar sahat ke bare me poonch na ho to hakim ke paas ho jaaoge na ki kisi mazdoor ke paas, sahi na?) I am sure Rafi will be their unanimous choice. On the other hand, popularity is decided by the masses and the masses can like langoors like SRK. So, I am not surprised that KK was hugely popular (I like some of his songs and I appreciate his talent). Kya bolte ho?

@abhijeetshrm68 U are either quoting me out of context or not paying attention to ALL that I wrote. I wrote that KK had his "family name (and his controlling personality) to see him through". From what little I could see of Rajeev, he obviously did not seem to possess a strong or pushy personality to achieve some level of success. So, KK had a mix of both - his family name & personality (and I don't mean positive here). Rajeev had only his family name. Hope the point is clear.

@smodass about a Music Director being greator than a singer? yes it is true but in case of RS, when he sang the song he really gave different dimensions to the beauty of the song.. he has that magic in his voice coupled with his abilities to put immense feelings, pronounce each word to it's best & using his unique singing style to make it more beautiful.. this make Rafi a greater singer than what a normal singer is..

@smodass about tum bin jaon kahan!!!! it is a romantic song & should have been sung with lot of love & romance in the voice.. m really sorry to say but KK had failed to bring those in his voice.. his tone in the song is like as if an egoistic or a proud person is singing or when u talk with lot of attitude or pride but Rafi sahab sung it with that romance, love & innocense in his voice.. thanks a lot

Addendum: KK was bossy (ahem, how many wives did he have?) and could push his way to the top. Keep in mind, he was the brother of Ashok (a terrific artist) and Anup. So, he had the family name (and his controlling personality) to see him through. Rafi came through on his ability alone (Have people heard him talk?) If Rafi's voice 'changed' then KK shoud have never crooned in his life. WHAT A JOKE!

Rafi was ALWAYS beaten by KISHORE when they sang togther-- thats the truth. Think muqaddar ka sikandar, Don, trishul-- RAFI was rejected-- would get no big banners--WHY? ppl rejected him thats why. by FALSE hype and religious frenzy no one can prove rafi was better than Kishore- HE WAS NOT--- Kishore had a heavier , better VOICE--- by the way i am a Christian nd giving a neutral opinion

KK was a nice singer no doubt, but when it comes to a favourite, it's only Mohd. Rafi Saheb. Rafi Saheb, had some xtra, which others didn't have. So, nothing to worry, we all are music lovers. PASAND APNI APNI, KHAYAL APNA APNA. No ill will. But, I prefer Rafi Saheb's version of Tum Bin Jaoon kahan.

@smodass My Friend! I have read all of Your comments & need to tell u that Rafi sahab's fan following all over the world is regardless of Religion, Country or any such reason.. He has a huge fan following just because he was a greatest singer ever born on the planet & 'THIS IS THE FACT'
