Psyche1954 on Monday, July 08, 2013 if this entire episode is an intellectual exercise it fails to impress me
let alone even hold my attention. for the seminal attempt of this
particular Ghazal one must listen to Farda Khanumjis version... that is
just etherial.. as for raag yaman.. what shall I say... these two singers
will not even pass a rudimentary admissions test to enroll to learn
hidustani vocal clasical music I have no wish to either castigate or insult
the singers but they are singularly talentless... sorry!
mka567 on Sunday, May 05, 2013 beautifully sung. the negative comments on this video are a disappointment.
i found it bold, interesting, and a much needed infusion into the genre of
'aaj jaane ki zidd na karo'... afterall it is a song that I would call a
genre in itself, and a song that is extremely difficult to impress with.
...perhaps could have done with a more climactic finish tho.
atisir on Thursday, August 04, 2011 People liked this song better than any other ones done at Coke Studio MTV
because.. there was not a lot of composition or music involved from
Leslie Lewis.. !!! Good effort from Ramya, Still think no one can top
Fareeda Khanum though.
Ali Akber on Monday, October 29, 2012 To make record complete. This song originally composed by renowned music
director Sohail Rana s/o Poet Rana Akberabadi, sung by Habib Vali Mohammed
written by Fayyaz Hashmi for film Badal aur Bijli and picturized on Nadeem
aditya vcet on Saturday, September 21, 2013 I heard Asha Bhosle singing this song in the same manner Farida sang, she
could not create magic. The Farida style of singing would be unmatched but
this version totally a surprise, beautiful.
Yogendra Bhatt on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 There are many versions of this beautiful Ghazal on net and this is the
worst so far. Remember, catchy visuals can never ever compensate the good
singing.Looks totally melodramatic.
Deepak Kumar Rout on Saturday, May 09, 2015 I do not understand why so many have complained about the singing here, its
not better or inferior, its just different, we should appreciate the
aditya vcet on Saturday, September 21, 2013 This is so cool, I literally came on YouTube to see how Ramya Iyer looks.
Fantastically sung, I like this song more now after hearing this beautiful
Saleha Minto on Sunday, September 15, 2013 Hindi and Urdu are two DIFFERENT languages. Hindi speaking artists should
respect that by UNDERSTANDING and delivering instead of SAYING the lyrics.
The singer makes 2 mistakes in than 56 seconds. 1. Both KHUM & KHOUM are
urdu words. KHOUM means a 'surahi' or decanter and KHUM a bend/curve/angle.
Gahlib said KHOUM-O-SAGHAR (the decanter and the goblet). 2. Urdu has 2
different K sounds. The simple KAF of KUTTA and the complex QAF of QAINCHI.
MAIKADAH uses the simple KAF... & yes this is BORING.
kaykay on Friday, June 01, 2012 How hypocritical of u to comment on a link which was aired on Indian TV.
See u might have had a bad experience with one Indian that doesn't mean all
Indians don't care we want to be ur friend but because of such statements
we aren't getting anywhere but I'm not here to counsel u through this I'm
here to just tell u that don't keep such a negative attitude towards a
country u actually used to belong too if we Indians can be friends with
another country then why can't we be friends with u guys?
